Why staying at Fairley Motor Lodge is a great way to enjoy Hawke’s Bay
A trip to Hawkes Bay provides world-class walking trails, wineries, art deco architecture and so much more. With such a varied region it can be hard to decide on where to stay, and we suggest somewhere central, near the hub of Napier’s social scene and launching pad for loads of activities– here’s why Fairley Motor Lodge is a great option.
Centrally located
Fairley Motor Lodge is beachside just five minutes from the CBD, on the edge of the bustling village of Ahuriri – a prime Hawke’s Bay destination – where café’s, bars and art galleries abound. Also Fairley is just 5 minutes from the airport and only 20 minutes’ drive to Hastings and Havelock North. One day you could be exploring Havelock North’s boutique shopping (with designer clothing shops and cafes galore – as well as a great little pub and restaurants), and the next you could take a guided walking tour in the art deco wonder of Napier, or else visit one of the many wonderful vineyards in the area for a very long lunch. We are right on one of the gentle and well-maintained Hawke’s Bay Cycle trails – perhaps you fancy cycling up through the adjacent estuary and wetlands and back down the coastline, or tootling along the river for a coffee or beverage at the lovely Puketapu country pub.
Small town feel
Being a seaside suburb Westshore has a classic relaxed feel, and its easy to navigate and near all the basics that you need – whether it’s fish and chips on the beach, some fab Asian fusion menus, or a quiet drink on a deck at Ahuriri’s West Quay, there’s even an urban winery nearby. You could grab some gourmet sausages from the local butcher to bring back to Fairley Motor Lodge, for throwing on the barbecue in your private suite.
Spacious studios & suites
Inside our units you’ll find stylish décor and plenty of room to move, plus a private furnished courtyard. Plus, you’ll also experience the ultimate in comfort with high quality beds and linens – something our guests rave about. Each unit has some ability to be self-contained, from a kitchenette in the studios to full cooking facilities in all 2-bedroom apartments. Plus, if you don’t feel like cooking we’re only 10 minutes’ walk from 15 different restaurants, and we have charge-back arrangements with some of them. Some will deliver a top-class meal to your suite. With all units on the ground-floor you can drive your car right up to your front door. We also have secure bike storage for peace of mind.
